Coconut Oil

The best way to keep your henna designs lasting long, feeling fresh, and looking beautiful is to stay moisturized. Coconut oil moisturizes deeply and thoroughly so you stay looking like a goddess for weeks.

It is best to use the oil to protect your body art when it’s exposed to water, like showering or swimming. You can even use it to help remove the dried, crumbly henna paste after application and then continue to apply daily for a rich henna color and glowing skin.

A vial of coconut oil is the perfect pair to one of our henna cones or as a supplement to the supplies in our henna body art kits. Who doesn't love long-lasting henna designs? We're always available to answer any questions that may pop up via our Contact Us page.

Frequently asked questions

No. Henna tattoos will only last between 1 and 3 weeks, depending on location and how well you care for them. Because henna is a dye that absorbs into your skin cells, the faster you lose skin cells, the faster your henna stain will disappear. We’ve got some tips to make it last.

  • Before you get your henna paste applied, exfoliate. Get off as much dead skin from the area as you can.
  • Wash the area to remove your natural oils, and then fully dry your skin.
  • Avoid water for the first few hours. Don’t jump in the shower right after you get your tattoo.
  • After you have your gorgeous henna, do not exfoliate! Your dead skin cells will naturally fall off over time, but try not to accelerate the process.
  • Moisturize the area to keep your skin healthier for longer. We recommend using coconut oil to keep the area luscious.

All of our henna products are all-natural, free from harsh chemicals, and totally skin-safe.

Henna paste will naturally become less effective over time. The stain won’t be as dark, and ingredients may separate depending on what the henna is made out of.

Fortunately, there is no health hazard or danger related to expired henna. You can easily extend the life of your henna paste by storing it in the freezer for up to 3 months.

Prior to shipping, it takes 1 - 2 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) for orders to be processed, as our henna paste is freshly made to ensure the best quality. Once your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing the tracking number. Learn more on our Shipping page.
