Apply henna through ancient rituals passed down for centuries but with the ease of modern convenience. First, wash and thoroughly dry your arm, leg, or torso where you plan to place the stencil. Peel off the adhesive backing and apply it firmly to your skin. Cover the stencil with organic henna paste (try our ready-to-use Henna Cone or concoct your own with the Henna Paste Kit). Allow the henna to dry for 2 to 12 hours, then remove with coconut oil and paper towel. Avoid water for 4 to 5 hours so the dye can set. Your henna color will darken over the next 24 hours to deep, earthy brown - perfect for any witch or sorcerer.

No. Henna tattoos will only last between 1 and 3 weeks, depending on location and how well you care for them. Because henna is a dye that absorbs into your skin cells, the faster you lose skin cells, the faster your henna stain will disappear. We’ve got some tips to make it last.

  • Before you get your henna paste applied, exfoliate. Get off as much dead skin from the area as you can.
  • Wash the area to remove your natural oils, and then fully dry your skin.
  • Avoid water for the first few hours. Don’t jump in the shower right after you get your tattoo.
  • After you have your gorgeous henna, do not exfoliate! Your dead skin cells will naturally fall off, but try to avoid encouraging them.
  • Moisturize the area to keep your skin healthier for longer. We recommend using coconut oil to keep the area luscious.

Henna paste will naturally become less effective over time. The stain won’t be as dark, and ingredients may separate depending on what the henna is made out of. Fortunately, there is no health hazard or danger related to expired henna. You can easily extend the life of your henna paste by storing it in the freezer for up to 3 months.

Prior to shipping, it takes 1 - 2 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) for orders to be processed as our henna paste is freshly made to ensure the best quality.
